Geofem Geotechnical Analysis

Andrew Lees, BEng, PhD, CEng, MICE

Andrew is the Director of Geofem and he is also Assistant Professor of geotechnical engineering at Frederick University Cyprus. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the practical application of numerical analysis tools in geotechnical engineering and has published several papers in this field. He is a member of the NAFEMS Geotechnical Committee which is preparing guidance in the field of geotechnical analysis and Andrew authored the committee's first guidebook entitled 'Obtaining Parameters for Geotechnical Analysis'. He is a founding member of the Professional Simulation Engineer scheme. Andrew was also author of the Cyprus National Annex to Eurocode 7, is a member of the Eurocode 7 committee and convenor of Evolution Group 4 which is advising the EC7 committee on the use of numerical methods with Eurocode 7.

Skevi Perdikou, BEng, MSc, PhD

Senior Engineer

Skevi manages many of our engineering projects, particularly local to Cyprus and in the Middle East region. She attained her BEng and MSc (Geotechnical Engineering) degrees at City University, London. Her MSc dissertation involved the finite element analysis of tunnelling-induced settlements. She studied for her PhD in the field of remote sensing at the University of Southampton where she used satellite imagery to monitor irrigation practices in the Aral Sea basin. Following this she worked as a geotechnical specialist at the head office of Parsons Brinckerhoff (UK).
