Organisations worldwide have become increasingly reliant on satellite intelligence to support critical infrastructure decisions. With this growing reliance comes the need to ensure that the data behind these insights remains secure, resilient and accessible when it matters most.
As Geofem continues to expand its satellite-based monitoring capabilities and manage increasingly complex geospatial datasets, we are investing in a dedicated cybersecurity programme to further strengthen our digital infrastructure and enhance the protection of the satellite and geotechnical data that underpin our monitoring solutions.

The cybersecurity programme is funded by the Digital Europe Programme and co-funded by the Republic of Cyprus.

Building a more secure & resilient digital infrastructure
Geofem’s primary objective is to provide greater confidence that the data supporting its satellite monitoring solutions is securely managed and aligned with recognised cybersecurity best practices.
By strengthening our cybersecurity foundations, Geofem is enhancing data resilience, reducing operational risks and ensuring greater continuity of service for critical infrastructure and geotechnical applications worldwide.
The initiative includes advanced backup and disaster recovery infrastructure designed to safeguard critical satellite and geotechnical datasets while supporting reliable, uninterrupted operations.
Key measures include:
The deployment of a dedicated offsite enterprise backup environment
Automated data backups
Secure remote management
Monitoring and reporting capabilities
Recovery testing
Access controls
Enhanced cybersecurity policies and procedures
The programme is designed to achieve the NCC-CY Cyber-Hygiene Certification and aligns with recognised information security standards, including those established by ISO 27001.
Through this investment, Geofem continues to strengthen customer confidence, improve operational resilience, and ensure that our Earth observation solutions remain secure, reliable and ready to support critical infrastructure decisions.

This cybersecurity programme represents another important step in Geofem’s ongoing commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and delivering trusted Earth observation intelligence.
Stay tuned as we share further updates on our cybersecurity journey and continued commitment to secure, resilient satellite intelligence.
