Local permitting support in the East Med region

As with any major energy project, ExxonMobil needed to negotiate complex local legislation to obtain the necessary permits and fulfill their CSR obligations to perform deep offshore gas exploration activities.

We provided the necessary local knowledge and support for CSA and ExxonMobil to complete thorough permitting studies and then to obtain the permits themselves according to plan for exploration activities in Block 10 of the Cyprus Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). 

Highlights

• Consulted with local governmental authorities on permit requirements.

• Prepared elements of the permitting study reports.

• Performed studies and prepared reports as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment and other permitting requirements.
